Chair of the board of trustees, Eleanor Martin, said,
“Once again we’ve received some fantastic applications from organisations doing lots of amazing work in the local area. We are very fortunate to have the resources to support a variety of projects in this round – from new notice boards to Christmas lighting!
Every group is working hard to do their bit to make our area better and we are just so grateful to the wind farm operator, RES, for their investment which allows us to make these grants possible.
We’re now approaching £800,000 in funding over the past 11 years which keeps these good causes going and we hope that continues for many years to come.”
The Folk Who Paint group, based at the Maxwell Centre in Cowdenbeath, received funding to support their annual art exhibition, meanwhile the 46th Fife Scouts received £2,000 to kick start their fundraising campaign for a minibus.

The next round of funding is now open, with groups invited to apply before the deadline of 5pm on Monday 4th November 2024 for a decision later that month.
